Introducing - Salty Alma Yoga!

saltyalmayoga

A local face in the Gascoyne, but with a whole new Journey. Siumoy has just kickstarted her latest venture. Drawing on her years of experience as a Yoga instructor, having learned from the best abroad, she’s now offering classes right here, in Carnarvon.

Siu approached me looking to create some stylised stock images for her new Social Media platforms and to create future-proofed content for other platforms, such as flyers and websites.

We collaborated on the style, look and feel of the photography, and landed on deep reflective colours and muted the vibrancy to draw the eye to the subject.

We utilised the fantastic and recently renovated lounge area of Rejuvenate, the future site for Siu’s classes, and we spent an hour at Pelican Point- though it wasn’t giving us the exact lighting we wanted - we made it work!

Siu will be running classes from Rejuvenate, as well as private classes, so make sure to follow her on saltyalmayoga to stay up to date with her classes!

Thank you Siu for jumping on board with the February Firesale, good luck on your yoga journey.

And don’t forget, support small business 🙌

Just before the Christmas shutdown I had the chance to roll through the Jirndal Solar Farm on a site tour in Exmouth — camera running while the team walked us through what’s quickly becoming one of the most important infrastructure projects in the region.

Built in partnership between Pacific Energy and Horizon Power, the project is designed to shift Exmouth to 80% renewable energy, cutting long-term reliance on diesel and gas while strengthening power security for the town.

Here’s what’s now in place:

• 9.6MW solar farm with around 16,700 panels
• 49.6MWh battery storage system to carry power through the night
• 7MW gas backup for reliability
• Around 14,000 tonnes of emissions offset every year

All panels are already installed, batteries are on site, and the system is tracking toward full operation by mid-2026.

What hits hardest seeing it in person is the scale — clean energy infrastructure rising right on the edge of the Ningaloo region, one of Australia’s most environmentally significant landscapes.

This isn’t a future plan anymore.
It’s happening now — and regional WA is leading it.

Projects like this are exactly what long-term sustainability in remote towns looks like: smart, resilient, and built for the communities that rely on it.

How cool is this? Last weekend Andrew Robertson travelled down to the Shire of Pingelly and attended their Christmas Street Party. He took a good few snaps of everyone and we are stoked to see that this week, we’re the Pingelly cover photo!

The Shire of Pingelly is a wonderful town located 200km South East of Perth with plenty to see and do.

And now - their Christmas decorations are lighting up the stunning Memorial Park in town centre. Be sure to check it out as December progresses, and embrace the beauty and charm of Pingelly!

Congrats Andrew Robertson this months winner of our photo comp. Loving the Pingelly sign in the background. Amazing photo 🤩🤩

For the last couple of weeks we’ve had Luna from St Mary’s doing work experience at Gascoyne Media.

And last night, we stepped outside to snap this shot of the Supermoon at Pelican Point Waterfront Resort.

As it rose above the town, you could see its movement with your own eyes.

What an amazing sight!

Your branding is what sets you apart from the crowd.

is Perth’s premier limestone builder, trusted across the region for over 15 years — and now stepping into a fresh new look.

We recently refreshed LRW’s branding to incorporate the Built Right identity, paired with a more minimalistic, stylised font face. Built Right sums it up perfectly: the kind of workmanship you can expect from an LRW professional. No job too small. No job too big. Just done right.

And to top it off, we had the ute wrapped by here in Perth — absolute weapons at what they do. Clean lines, sharp detail, flawless finish. Couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out.
