Art by Sophie Loupat

Art by Sophie Loupat I am an artist driven by the vibrant hues of nature and the desire to evoke joy through my art.

My work is a celebration of bright, expressive colours aimed at eliciting happiness in those who view it. Born in a quaint town in New South Wales, Australia, I am an artist driven by the vibrant hues of nature and the desire to evoke joy through my art. Having nurtured a passion for drawing since childhood, I am largely self-taught but honed my skills further through art education. My preferred m

ediums include acrylics, watercolours, and fine liner pens, each chosen for their ability to convey my artistic vision with precision and emotion. Themes of nature, the beauty of the human form, and the essence of positivity permeate my work. In acrylics, I employ loose brushstrokes and exhilarating colors to create dynamic compositions. With watercolours and fine liners, my approach is meticulous yet expressive, always retaining a vivid palette. My artistic style aims to foster growth and healing, intertwining colors to evoke a spectrum of positive emotions from invigoration to tranquility. Inspired by the brilliance found in nature, be it in the vivid hues of flowers, the intricate patterns of plants, or the graceful contours of the human body, I channel these influences into my art. Each piece is a reflection of my deep connection to the natural world and my belief in its inherent beauty. I continue to explore new techniques and themes that resonate with my passion for creating art that uplifts and inspires. Through my artwork, I seek to create an immersive experience that transcends visual perception, inviting viewers to feel the same joy and serenity that drives my creative process.

This piece will always hold a special place in my heart. I pour so much of myself into every artwork, but this one was different. Not only was it an emotional process, it was also one of the largest pieces I've ever created.

I paint everything from my little studio (aka my home!), and storing large artworks isn't always easy. Taking the leap to paint on a bigger scale can feel a little daunting. Even when you love creating large pieces, there's always that question in the back of your mind: Will it find a home?

Thankfully, she did. She found her new home at my exhibition last year πŸ’

Creating art is one thing, but watching a piece connect with someone so deeply that they choose to take it home is something truly special. It's a feeling I'll never take for granted. βœ¨πŸŽ¨πŸ’•

A special bee for a special friend 🧑 It was my friend's 30th and she wanted a bee! It always makes me so happy when my close friends and family want something I've done. I feel very lucky to have the support network that I do.
