I am also a husband, a father and a bit of a nerd. Apart from the fact that I have a Masters degree in Geophysics, I also spent a weekend in my youth drawing a multi-dimensional timeline of the movements of all the characters in the Back To The Future movies. To Robert Zemeckis’ credit, he got it right. I am a documentary style photographer. This means I love to capture real moments; like your dad
’s daggy dancing and your mum wiping a tear from her cheek when you’re walking down the aisle. This is the scientist in me. I am observant and I endeavour to document the love, truth and honesty of your day. My love for photography was borne out of travel. I have been fortunate enough to be to some spectacular places including Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and five months in Antarctica. The common element to my favourite photos from my travels is that they have happy people in them. That’s what I love about wedding and family photography; the people. I like getting to know people, listening to their stories and then helping them tell their story. Oh … and I also love coffee.
