I refuse to make the bare minimum the benchmark for women's health.
And that's the difference.
Because too many women have spent YEARS knowing something wasn't right..
only to be told:
' Everything looks normal. '
' It's probably stress. '
' That's just your period. '
' That's motherhood. '
' That's your age. '
Raising the standard means we don't dismiss the woman simply because the investigation didn't give us the answer.
We keep asking better questions.
And most importantly,
the PATTERN connecting it all.
I know you want to have enough within yourself that your family isn't constantly receiving the scraps of a depleted woman.
You want energy for them.
Patience.
Play.
Presence.
Desire.
Creativity.
Capacity !!
And something still left for you.
Overflow !!
And there is another reason this matters so deeply to me.
Some of us grown women grew up watching women we loved become completely depleted.
Women who carried too much.
Women who had very little support.
Women who didn't know how to regulate what they were carrying because nobody had ever taught them.
Some coped through anger.
Some disappeared into themselves.
Some reached for substances or other ways to escape what they couldn't hold anymore.
And as children (we), witnessed it.
I say this because I want us to understand how generational women's health can become.
A child doesn't know:
Mum is depleted.
Mum's nervous system is overwhelmed.
Mum hasn't slept properly in years.
Mum is struggling.
They simply experience the version of her that has capacity left to give.
That's why my children witnessing me as the standard carries depth.
They're watching a woman who cares for everybody she loves..
without believing she has to disappear to prove that love.
They're watching me say no for greater women’s health. Come back to myself when I lose my way due to fatigue....
Intentionally.
RAISING THE STANDARD OF WOMEN'S HEALTH.
Raising what women expect from their healthcare.
Raising what we consider 'well'.
Raising how deeply a woman knows and cares for herself.
Raising the support mothers receive.
Raising what our children grow up believing womanhood to be.
