The other day I realised I probably won’t remember what my girls are obsessed with right now.

The teddy that comes everywhere.

The shoes they wear every day.

The book they’ve asked me to read for the hundredth time.

The random little treasures they collect and insist on keeping.

And that made me a little sad.

Because these things feel so ordinary while we’re living them, but one day they’ll be some of the things we miss most.
