Rottnest Island. Cycled the whole thing, no cars out here. Little Parakeet Bay and the coves with water that clear, the Bathurst lighthouse, the pink salt lakes in the middle, and the club on the west end. An easy ferry from Perth and you've got the island to yourself (almost).

Composition is through the lens. But it’s also in post. This one’s a good reminder that there’s still room to get creative well after the photos are taken.
Whatever you call this trend, the trick is contrast. A tight square inside a wider scene. Two images doing the talking. Scale, place, light, all playing off each other.

Right now at Bondi Pavilion there’s an artwork called “Accordion” by Amigo & Amigo. Six giant interconnected archways, built from illuminated steel rings and wrapped in bright printed fabric, each one inspired by the shape of an accordion. It’s part of Bondi Festival, going bigger this year to mark postcode 2026 landing in the year 2026.
