On December 14th, Fitstop Strathpine and Fitstop Burpengary came together for something bigger than fitness -
This wasn’t just a workout.
It was a statement.
Teams of six took on a brutal, purpose-built challenge designed by , a workout where every distance, rep, and movement represented real mental-health statistics here in Australia.
The workout included:
• 2 x 5.9km team runs
• 150 deadlifts
• 32.49km Echo Bike
• 500 butterfly sit-ups
• 24.55km Ski Erg
• 280 hang power cleans
• 440 front squats
• 794 burpees
• 2.9km team member carry
The numbers were confronting and intentionally so.
They represent su***de attempts, lives lost, years taken, and the reality that only 28% of people reach out for help.
Designed by , Adaptive CrossFit Games athlete and advocate, the workout forced teams to lean on each other, communicate, and push through discomfort together. Exactly how support should work outside the gym.
No egos.
No factions.
Just people showing up for each other.
All proceeds were donated to Black Dog Institute, supporting mental health research and education across Australia.
From behind the lens, it was powerful to witness raw emotion, exhaustion, unity, and moments that deserved to be captured. Proud to document a day where fitness was the vehicle, but community was the outcome.
