It hurt.
A sharp pain glazed through his heart. Love seemed so paper thin, so valueless. At work, all he could think of was what she said. The words replayed in symphony over and over until it was too much to bare. He excused himself to the bathroom, and looked at the pathetic sogging red eyes. The compromising mask he wore only covered the tears that had rolled down to his cheek.
He took it off.
“Had love only brought pain?” he thought. So deep in thought that the person next to him using the old, rusted water tap startled him. He had no where to go, now where else to turn. It was a roadblock.
He really loved her. He honestly did.
He washed his face. The water from the sink soaked deep into his eyes. The red veins showed on his tear soaked pupils. It crawled onto his neck, and he shakily pressed his cell phone.
The love with her can not continue.
