The journey is often as memorable as the photograph...

This throwback captures my daughter and I doing what we loved most while travelling through Scotland — chasing castles, cameras in hand, never quite knowing what we'd find around the next bend.

The reward came early the next morning at Dunnottar Castle, perched dramatically on the cliffs above the North Sea. As the sun rose behind the ancient ruins, the landscape came alive with colour, creating one of those moments that reminds you exactly why you carry a camera.

They say timing is everything. For this shot, I had exactly one second. 🇬🇧❄️
My wife and I spent nearly three hours freezing our ears off at Stonehenge in the wind and drizzle. Every time I looked up, it was a wall of gray. She was ready to drag me back to the van, but I just had a feeling.
When the clouds finally broke, I had just a second to grab the shot before they slammed shut again. One second to make three hours in the cold worth it.
Wait for the transition to see if I caught it! Does that moment make the soggy feet okay? 🤔👇
