Photos are beautiful!

You can hold them, frame them, see them every day on your walls, and flip through them in an album with your little ones curled up beside you 🤍

They freeze your newborn’s tiny fingers.

The sleepy stretches.

That new baby face you never want to forget.

But film… film moves.

It’s the gentle sway as you rock them.

The way they curl into your chest.

Those milky smiles. The soft blinks. The quiet inbetween moments that disappear too quickly.

Photos help you remember how they looked.

Films help you remember how it felt.

The most powerful moments are often the quietest ones.

The steady breaths, the supportive hands, the instant everything changes when a baby is placed into their mother’s arms. Being invited to document this day for Brooke and her beautiful family was such an honour, a space filled with strength, calm, emotion, and so much love.

And one of my favourite moments? Watching the siblings meet their new baby brother for the very first time. The quiet curiosity, the gentle touches, the proud smiles… the beginning of a whole new chapter.

Let me say it: your house does NOT need to look like it came out of a magazine to have beautiful newborn photos (this Newborn Film was shot in ONE CORNER of the master bedroom)!

Honestly, some of my favourite images have been taken in rooms with unfolded laundry, toys on the floor, or curtains that have seen better days.

What matters most isn’t the backdrop (although I do move things out of the way when needed), it’s the connection. It’s you snuggling your baby on the bed where you’ve been feeding them every night. It’s the way your toddler climbs up for a cuddle, toys in hand. It’s the love that lives in that space.

You don’t need to clean, prep, or panic before I arrive. I’ll gently move what needs moving and work in the light filled pockets of your home, and the result will be photos and film that feel like your family, not a showroom.

They’ll never be this small again.
The wrinkly soles. The curled toes. The tiny kicks that feel impossibly gentle now, but one day, you’ll barely be able to remember them.

These are the details that don’t stay little for long. The ones we think we’ll never forget, until life moves forward and suddenly… they’re gone.

That’s why I film the in-between moments. The close-ups. The quiet things. Not just the cuddles and connection, but the tiniest parts of your baby that make your heart ache a little, even now.

Because it’s the smallest things that you’ll miss the most.
