Stretching 772 metres into Rivoli Bay, Beachport Jetty is the second-longest jetty in South Australia and has been a focal point of the town since the late 1800s. Originally built to service the region’s thriving fishing and shipping industries, the jetty played an important role in transporting wool, timber and other local produce from this remote coastal community.
Today, while the ships are long gone, the jetty remains a much-loved landmark where locals and visitors gather to fish, stroll, and take in the ever-changing colours of the sea and sky. A reminder of Beachport’s maritime heritage and the enduring connection between the town and the ocean.
