I’m Alisa Vakhtangova, the photographer behind getawayarchitect.
Today, I offer photography services for both commercial and personal projects — from architectural spaces to intimate, honest family moments.
But before photography became my full-time path, I worked as a designer for over six years in renowned architectural studios across Melbourne and Adelaide. Originally from Moscow, with experience across Europe, I’m now based in Adelaide, South Australia — a wife, mother, and storyteller with a background in architecture.
The birth of our daughter in 2024 changed everything for me. She became my greatest inspiration and led me back to my long-standing love for photography — a passion that began during my student years.
Alongside photography, I also run the Ladies’ Art Club here in Adelaide — a space where I bring women together through creativity, connection, and meaningful conversations. You can find more about this part of my journey over on Instagram.
