I met Ash at a garage sale. She lives round the corner from me and is a very cool human. We had a super impromptu shoot of her house and backyard, full of pretty flowers and pretty things. She sells some of em. Hit her up :) :) :)

Been getting the itch back to create !!! Fkn loooove it

Been thinking all the hard questions lately
Why did I stop shooting ?
What do I wanna shoot ?
How can I achieve my greatest work ?

Why do safety and creativity coincide side by side … big one.

Why have I always believed I’m not good enough ?

Tis a journey.
Hopefully some very biiiig exciting projects coming soon. Has been on my list for quite some time to film a documentary. She’s slowly coming back ! 🎥

A Bridget Films update: after 10 years of being a photographer and videographer I seem to be in my biggest creative slump yet. The past year has been quite challenging in my personal life and unfortunately my creativity has taken a bit of a toll 😢 I’m sure any creative can relate to the challenges of having your passion as your business/income and the fine balance to get it right.

Creating a secondary business to differentiate my marketing services and filmmaking has been a really wise move for me so far: I’m really enjoying expanding my skill set in different things 💛

I’ve realised how important it is for me to keep Bridget Films alive and aligned. Having some time away from filming has given me a lot of reflection for the future which I honestly needed.

I’m really looking forward to falling in love with shooting all over again. Thanks for being patient with me whilst I get my light back ✨so grateful always!

10 YEARS OF BRIDGET FILMS ☀️🌸☀️🌸☀️🌸

A pretty bloody massive accomplishment if you ask me!! I started shooting professionally as soon as I finished high school and here we areeeeee

Countless events - 18ths, 21sts, engagements, balls, nightclubs, festivals
Countless places - Adelaide, Gold Coast, Whitsundays, Sunny Coast
Countless learnings - videography, campaigns, big brands, internships
Countless times I had to tell myself I am good enough to do this.

With the creative world ever changing and post doing Bridget Films full time for a stint there I felt really burnt out and just lost my creative juice completely. It’s been nice to work in outdoors roles as my bread and butter and return back to Bridget Films fully and intently when I’m ready.

I miss shooting for fun and developing this skill set. Photography and videography have always taught me mindfulness and appreciation for the people and world around me. I honestly think I’ll be doing this s**t till the day I die :’) 🥹 Just been thinking about what do I want to shoot and grow into… been thinking documentaries but we shall seeeee 👀👀👀👀

Thanks for the lessons, conversations, experiences, shoots, creativity, fun and trust from all brands, clients, people and friends. I am eternally grateful and what a fkn way to spend my 20’s travelling and meeting people. So so proud of myself and have enjoyed the journey thoroughly. 🌸🌸 WE JUST GETTIN STARTED BABY
