Three tussocks on a dune.
Not exactly a photo from an alpine region as usual. But at least I was on the top of a dune at the mediterranean coast. Shot during our family holiday trip in Sardegna.

That was one of the better days on our trip to Alaska, but still very windy. Shot on the way back home from our last skitour near Thompson Pass. HP5, 75mm wide angle lens and
4x5.

Huge riverbed on a rainy day near Valdez, Alaska.
Weather on this day was bad and we could not go for a skitour as planned. So we had some time and I could use the fog for a moody composition with the 4x5 camera.

Winter valley
Late afternoon photograph shot in a remote valley while being on a training run with cross-country skis. Light was fading already and it started to snow again so I overexposed the image a little.

Shot during a walk in the forest with my 10-month-old son. Luckily he was sleeping for half an hour so I could set up the camera next to the path and make the exposure...

Abstract photo of the glacier surface shot from an elevated position on top of a moraine. It's the second of three images shot on my glacier trip last weekend. The wide glacier area surrounded by mountain peaks bears so much photographic potential. And the difficulty for me in such places is to reduce an image to a minimum of distracting elements.

Photo from a hike to a Glacier in Stubaier Alps last weekend.
The conditions were great, but also very fast changing between clear blue skies and dense fog. The image turned out better than expected with the sunny glacier in front and the dark and cloudy background.
