I love when I see my images talk

It's MONDAY! Time to settle down for a new week, set a few goals and tick a few things off the list. I've a few blog posts I'm working on, quite a bit of design work on my plate and a few new projects I'm diving into. I'm excited to join Amazon as one of their Associates, I'm testing out a few PC Blue Menu items and looking forward to a sneak peek at IKEA's new Dartmouth Crossing store! There's lots going on!

Thanks to EVERYONE who voted for me for The Coast's Best of Halifax...it's such a pleasure to get to know the people and places of this fabulous city we live and bring the stories to you on my blog. Votes are being tabulated and winners will be announced November 2nd.

September is flying...lots to get done. But first, I'm putting my feet up and enjoying a cup of tea. Enjoy the week everyone!

Slowly getting used to a "new normal" as life's changes keep me on my toes. The ending of summer brings about new routines and a desire to reinvent myself. I'm looking forward for the first time in a long time and liking what I see. Despite all of life's hardships...there's much to celebrate. I'm making new goals...chasing adventure...finding my happy. The future looks bright.

This last few weeks I've been spending a little extra time by the sea...reminding me of everything I love about living on the East Coast of Canada...the salt air, the people, the beautiful surroundings. As a storyteller, I love sharing stories on the blog about living in this amazing place and hope to tell them for years to come...as it's really what brings me the most joy.

A client asked me today if I did anything special to the photos to make her look so good or if this is the way other people see her? I love that question. I love that I was able to capture her in a way that made her feel so good about herself! I wish for everyone to be able to see themselves (me included) the way others see them. This forensic artist sketches portraits based on how women describe themselves. He then repeats the process with strangers describing the same women. Comparing the results is stunning.
