The New Green Feather in the Cap of Dubai Municipality

Al Qudra lake or as its new name "Green Desert" is getting popular among the residents of Dubai. This man made lake or Oasis, as shown on the boards closer to the site, is an initiative by Dubai Govt to develop the place as a nature and bird reserve. It is a man made lake on a desert landscape.

This is a perfect place for picnic and camping purpose. A short drive from the fast city life will bring you to relax and energise on the nature's lap. Its a spot that kids and elders will enjoy together, for the little ones its a new place that they visit, something different from the usual parks, desert or beach, where as for the elders it turns out to be an unwinding in to nostalgia with the nature.

The best time to reach here is late in the afternoon with some food packed and tea. Do not forget to bring in your games and activity board. There is plenty of place to settle and start your barbeque along the banks of the lake. It's a pet friendly place and we haven't found a better place for the pets to unwind in Dubai.

Do not miss the Sunset. It is one of the most stunning sight when you are here. The desert, Water Bodies, Half broken trees, and the clear skies of this part of the world gives you a breathtaking view and more over the chilled mild wind during the winter time of the year (December to February) will make your memories rich too.

If you are too bored of the city life or stressed out from work, or maybe too tired from the daily/Weekly routine, then you should not miss out this place.

Open your google Maps and search for Al Qudra lake. Its as easy as that to get there.
