Yesterday we went to the Linkin Park concert.
Did I think I would cry for the full two hours? Yes.
Did I expect it to be so hard to stay open-minded and hear the old songs performed by Emily? Also yes.
Did I end up loving every second of it and admiring Emily’s courage, performance, and impact? Absolutely.

I grew up on these songs. Linkin Park was THE band I listened to. Their music carried me through some of the hardest times in my life, became the soundtrack to countless good memories, and even helped build some of my closest friendships.
I truly believed that without Chester, it could never be the same again.

But Emily made last night possible. And for that, I’m deeply grateful.
